Located at the north end of the Long Beach peninsula in southwestern Washington, Leadbetter Point State Park is a great place to walk along the Pacific Ocean.
There are miles and miles of unspoiled coastline..
and roaring waves to bark at.
Though the state park signs invite you to share the beach, the beach is roughly 1.5 miles from the parking lot and most human visitors remain within 150 yards of the parking lot.
Canine visitors, however, welcome the walkie, especially when it's muddy. Here are my friends Jen and Barry with their wotten waven doggy packs!
What a beautiful beach! Hope you had a great time!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great place to walk! We are jealous! Have a great day, Hailey and Zaphod
ReplyDeleteCool place to walk. I have never strolled on a beach. I keep tellin' MOM this is something we must try.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,

That looks like a fun place to walk! I'd bark those waves into submission.
ReplyDeleteIf or when we get to that part of the world, I would love to go there.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun place. It reminds us of the northern Cali coast that we visited this summer!
ReplyDeleteyour friends,

Even your friends are beautiful! I could have sworn, though, that I read, "a great place to walk ACROSS the Pacific Ocean".

Oh I would love to join you on such a wonderful beach Tootsie. Gail once showed me a photo she took on the Washington coast north of their Aberdeen and it looked just great. She says its one of the most atmospheric places she's ever been, although she said you had to clamber over a pile of ginormous white bleached tree trunks to get to the sea.
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!
Bertie.
What an awesome beach Tootsie - it's massive!!
ReplyDeleteHave fun,
Your pal Snoopy :)
SHE loves walking along the beach. We wish SHE'd take us, but the shortest distance is about 7 hours in the car. We'd love to be with you on that beach. You're lucky.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy

We have gorgeous beaches in the Hamptons, where doggies love to romp and poop in the morning, before bathers arrive.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. Did you get to bark at all those birds in the first picture?
