Dachshund Crusoe at ZRH

While he was on a business trip last week, Dachshund Daddy had a short layover at the Zurich Airport. He got to spend some time at the P&B bookstore, which features a wide selection of English-language books. Here's one of Dad's favorite authors, Jeffrey Archer.

P&B also has an extensive doggy literature section that Dad always checks out. Look what was there: Dachshund Crusoe's book!

Crusoe has a wotten waven award-winning blog and now he's also a New York Times bestselling author.

Dear Crusoe, I'm soooo proud of you! Keep on wagging!

Note: I thought P&B stood for Paws and Bones, but it stands for Press and Books.

Dachshund Handbags by Cathy -- Oscar's Creations!

We love Mom's new dachshund purse. It's specifically designed and handmade by Cathy Skinner to fit Mom's (and my) travel needs. Mom is a doxie fashionista!

Cathy has a wonderful Etsy Store called Oscar's Creations. You can find handmade purses ready to purchase or you can pick the material for your purse, and Cathy will design something specially for you. She's fabulous to work with and asks the pawfect questions.

Inside this purse, Mom can fit: her travel-wallet (also designed and made by Cathy; we wrote about it here), her eReader, extra kibble for me, her mini notebook (like me! I'm a mini!), a hankie, and hand sanitizer. There is room for extras, too.

This is a coin purse Cathy designed for Mom. Mom's going to use this one to hold Swiss franc coins.

We have two coin purses, and the second one will be used for Euro coins.

It's lovely to support independent artists who make handmade items. The quality of these is fantastic.

You can find her on Facebook, too: Dachshund Handbags by Cathy.

Here's the link to Cathy's Etsy Store -- Oscar's Creations.

Cathy, Thank you so much for your beautiful work!

Bark-Life Balance

Mom locked me in the Casa Burrow bathroom, and I had to yip to be let out. I have a dog bed in the bathroom, so comfort was not an issue, but who locks a trusted companion in any room? Spaced-out parents? My parental units must know that I'm too low down to open the door. I ran around the house after I was released. My heart beat fast. Sometimes life is stressful for a little dog, so I took a nap. This restored my bark-life balance.

What am I dreaming?

As you probably know, sleeping is one of my favorite activities. But do you know what I'm dreaming right now?

Alright, let me give you a hint. Look at the golden ratio between the size of my paw and the size of my snout, which my father calls peppa (a made-up word in Italian that captures the snoutness better than any existing word in any language).

Now you know, don't you? I'm dreaming of walkies!!! Here's me on one of our recent walkies in the Malcantone valley. This is one of our favorite spots, located up above the town of Arosio.

This photo is from about ten days ago. I know what you're thinking... no snow in February? No worries, it finally snowed this past weekend.
