If Tootsie and Bertie had puppies

A while ago, in a comment left on my blog, my dear friend Bouncing Bertie wondered what our puppies would look like if Bertie and I could have them. Due to my spayed status, we will never know for sure.

But Dachshund Daddy thinks he knows. Meet Chuchu the doxie-terrier and Bubu the wirehaired fox dachshund!


Chuchu would really love to bounce like her dad, but her dachshund body upper-bounds the extent of her bounces. Bubu would really love to hunt marmots like her mom, but her wirehaired fox terrier body is not designed to get into their burrows.

Despite the mismatch between their instincts and their bodies, they look magnificent. Do you agree?

    Oh Tootsie you have such a clever Daddy (and Mom). Chuchu and Bubu and simply beautiful. Perfect examples of the benefits of mixing genetic material, I might say. And I notice they are enjoying a romp on a beach in Oregon. How magnificent.

    Tootsie -- my mum and I agree that any puppers that u and Bertie would have had would be really adorable. I LUV LUV LUV both your breeds. I LOVE all mixed breeds (maybe cos I have so many breeds mixed in me, lol) and my mum recently fostered a 3 week old puppy that was a cross between a poodle and chihuaha -- he was really cute and when he got a little bigger (6 weeks) he was even cuter!!!!

    BTW mum and I luv reading your blog -- her first vacation abroad when she was a teenager in London was to Switzerland!!!!! She has been back a few times -- but has not even been "home" since she moved to AZ !!!!!
