I just flew back to Switzerland with Mom! Thanks to Mom's TLC, I did very well during the three flights. As usual, dad picked us up at the Zurich Airport.
Unlike most airports, the Zurich Airport is very pedestrian-and-dog friendly. As it is directly connected to the Swiss trail network, we were able to go on our first Swiss hike of Spring 2012 before the train ride back home. That's good because I had to pee after three flights!
Our destination was Butzenbüel, a cute little hill across from the pedestrian entrance to the Zurich Airport.
Butzenbüel has tons of grass for me to pee on...
as well as a commanding view of the airport facilities.
In spite of its small size, Butzenbüel offers various hiking trails that can be accessed in less than five minutes from the airport... on foot!
(Hauling Mom's luggage up the hill was not fun, but Dad took care of that.)
Home sweet home...after all your problems. Looks like a great place to run around and check out the pee mail. Glad you left some to let everyone know you're back in the country.

ReplyDeleteWelcome home, Tootsie :)
ReplyDeleteHave I told you how lucky you are Tootsie? I bet your passport is full of stamps! My Typist wants to know if you travel in the cabin because she swears she saw a pic of you once on a seat. Is that allowed where you are? I'm not even allowed on a bus or a ferry or a train.
ReplyDeleteYes, I travel in the cabin! You probably saw a picture of me on a train seat, though. I'm not allowed out of my bag onboard flights. I'm bummed you are not allowed on a bus, ferry, or train!
DeleteYou must be happy to be back and see your Dad! I love the pictures of you with your Momma!
ReplyDeleteGlad you made it back ok buddy - you did super well not having to go to the bathroom all that way :)
ReplyDeleteHave fun,
Your pal Snoopy :)
Wow, what fun! I'm glad you're well enough to be back to your old routines.
ReplyDeleteGlad you made it back home all safe and sound. You've really seen a lot of the world!
ReplyDeleteWow - you are quite the traveler!!
ReplyDeleteTootsie, it must be nice (for you and your mom) to see dad again! And to pee on Switzerland again! Looking forward to hearing about all your picturesque hikes and cool dog friends.
ReplyDeleteDear Tootsie,
ReplyDeleteSo glad that you are well and able to travel with Mom again.
We miss you

Hey Tootsie, Jet here.
ReplyDeleteHow cool is that? Trails right out of the airport... You must be happy to see your dad again. You are truly a world traveler. Can't wait to see more hiking pics.
Nothing like a welcome home hike!!
ReplyDeleteGreat to see you back on this side of the Pond Tootsie. And thanks very much for showing how Zurich is such a dog friendly airport. It has recently come to my notice that Gail is planning a wee visit to Switzerland in July, to visit her now very elderly godmother in Luzern. I fear that she is planning to sneak off without me, but I shall show her this post and maybe I can shame her into letting me join her....
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!
Bertie.
Don't let her go without you! You'll love riding the Swiss trains once you get here!
DeleteGreat photos! Happy Monday Mischief!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, what an exciting trip.
