I don't understand why people get Sweden and Switzerland mixed up. Sweden has moose. Switzerland has chocolate. There's no such thing as the Swedish Alps, and I've yet to see a Swiss Smörgåsbord.
Just to be in the clear, here is a picture of Swiss swans:
And here's one of Swedish swans:
While both Swedish swans and Swiss swans hiss, it is worth noting that hiss means elevator in Swedish. Does that mean I should avoid elevators?
Don't understand that one either. Many people confuse Austria with Australia. A friend returned from Austria with a shirt sporting a kangaroo...it read AUSTRIA, we don't have kangaroos!
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, bella & roxy
Don't know about elevators, but DEFINITELY avoid swans.
ReplyDeleteBut I would love to visit both Sweden and Switzerland.
Toodle pip!
Bertie (who at a formative age had a terrifying experience with a swan).
I know about that CHOCOLATE place...
ReplyDeleteLove the comment from Daisy Bella and Roxy. THAT is hysterical.
I think some people just tend not to think things through and assume with similar spelling, they must be the same place. Duh! Love the swan comparison! :)
ReplyDeleteOh I can see the diffrence in the two swans. Not ssure where the confusion comes from.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
Some people mix up Austria and Australia too, and they're even LESS alike! Some folks just don't know their geography that well.
ReplyDeleteSwans sound like geese. When I first met some geese I thought they looked fun to chase. But it turns they are not fun to chase at all...
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA!!! That is so funny! It'd be worse if Sweden was famous for mousse. Geography must be a dying subject. Have a great weekend! Love from Austria X
ReplyDeleteHmmmm, I don't know if you should avoid elevators. How do you say hiss in Swedish? Lee and Phod
ReplyDeleteHi!! We're back home!! We've missed you so much. We can't wait to get back in the swing of commenting again. We'll be back soon. We can't have chocolate bummer. They are both beautiful places.
