I have some wonderful Monday Mischief to report:
Bicontinental Dachshund is a finalist for the BlogPaws 2012 Nose-to-Nose Social Media Pet Blogging Awards in the "Best Newbie" category!
Thank you to Chloe and the entire BlogPaws team. The affirmation feels very nice, indeed. And thank you for our registration waiver and the spiffy new badge for the blog! All the fellow finalists look wotten waven.
If you know wiener dogs, you'll know that great excitement makes us hungry, so Mom gave me a celebratory carrot. I didn't even have to beg.
In other Monday Mischief news, Dad got a Swiss speeding ticket this weekend. First time driving in 2012. First speeding ticket in his life.
The rental car was an Alfa Romeo Giulietta, a spiffy complimentary upgrade. Gee, thanks. The Alfa Romeo--oh, Romeo, Romeo--can punch it like no other, certainly more than the chugalug bug we had reserved. Dad was over the speed limit for all of ten seconds. 45 mph in a 35 mph zone - or - 70 kmh in a 50 kmh zone. Can you guess how much he owes?!
Congratulation on being a finalist. Woo Hoo to you.
ReplyDeleteI will guess the ticket will cost 87 green papers.
Blessings,
Goose
Oh, congrats on the most well-earned recognition for the blog. How can I see the other finalists (which being in our company must be quite entertaining and readable)?
ReplyDeleteWith the NATO summit in Chicago even as we speak, I imagine doing pretty much anything get can us a ticket or a pair of handcuffs these days. So how bad is the speeding ticket...? I know driving safety is highly valued in Europe, and penalties are steep. So I'll guess 100 Euros. Bummer, Tootsie's Dad!
What a day!
Thanks so much for your note, Christa, and please give my wags to all your fur kids! There's a link above to "fellow finalists" at BlogPaws... from there you can access all the blogs. It's really cool! I'll do an update, too, with links to the other finalists in my category. Great guesses here on the ticket: more on that soon. :)Love, Tootsie
DeleteA Swiss speeding ticket? Hmmm. I can't even guess how much that would be in the US!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your finalist status!
Yay!! Big Congrats to you guys - you rock!! :) You so deserved that massive Carrot!! Mine are tiny in comparison…. is Mum cheating me? Hmmmm…… :)
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna guess your Dad owes 2 Carrots for his speeding….. :)
Have a fun day,
Your pal Snoopy :)
Congrratulations on the nomination, that's pawsome! And very well deserved. I love your blog!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! Very well deserved!
ReplyDeleteGreat news about your well-deserved nomination. Now about that ticket... 200.00?

Congratulations, a well deserved nomination!

Congrats!!! Very well deserved

We're guessing a lot.
ReplyDeleteWhen Gail was thirteen she was reprimanded by a Swiss policeman for crossing the road in Luzern when the pedestrian light was on red. (She does remember wondering why no-one else was crossing, despite there obviously being no cars coming.) But at least she managed to talk her way out of the fine.
Congrats on reaching the 'Best Newbie' final. No more than you deserves Tootsie.
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
Congratulations Tootsie! Do we get to vote for the winner?
ReplyDeleteI think your mama could have done better than a carrot for a reward. Next time, remember to turn your nose away and pout until you get some tasty Swiss sausage dipped in some cheese fondue thingy. You CANNOT let humans get away with being cheap, Tootsie. Not. Ever.
Your poor papa. I hope it wasn't too much since it was a first offence. At least he got caught speeding in a spiffy car and not some old junk. And on that happy note, HUGS x
Thank you for asking about voting, but there is a jury.
DeleteAnd great idea for that Swiss sausage cheese treat. I will insist!
Congratulations!! Your Dad's first speeding ticket. Heehee!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! We're very proud of you!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about your dad's speeding ticket. When you're not used to a car that can really zoom, it can surprise you (or so mom says). Her car has no power, so when she drives Dad's car, she has to be very careful not to go too fast.
Congratulations on being a finalist for the "Best Newbie Blog" Sorry dad got into mischief this weekend, but it sounds like he must have been having fun up until he got the ticket. Best of luck in the finals!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday!
Colby
Congratulations!! We knew all along that you were awsome!

Congrats!! You deserve it. We always enjoy your posts. As for Dadio, we can imagine the ticket price. It sounds like it's a big one. :( Happy Monday! ~Weinerful Gang~
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness Tootie!!! I am so thrilled and happy for you becoming a finalist in the Blog Paws "Best Newbie" award category. I will be on pins and needles to find out if you won my friend! You deserve it. Were you nominated or did you enter? I don't know a thing about this stuff.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, thank you for sending your sweet good juju. I am just about all well already, so that will send me into super wellness, I am sure, BOL! Lots of hugs & Pixel kisses ~ Pixel
I love watching Tootsie and her adventures. She reminds me of my precious Kita whom we lost in March. It's almost like she's back and having fun all over again. Thanks for the awesome blog!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
