Bridger Foothills Trail

Last December, thanks to Mom's Body of a Dancer Book Tour, we got to visit Country Bookshelf--a fantastic indie bookstore in Bozeman, Montana. Bill, Dad's distant cousin, true friend, and long time Bozeman resident, treated us to a rejuvenating hike up the Bridger Foothills Trail.

I always take a moment to familiarize myself with the United States Forest Service regulations.

It was fairly cold and the trail was just a bit slippery...

but I have Four Paw Drive!

It's hard to read the signage when you're low to the ground...

but great views are easy to find in Montana!

My humans could hardly keep up with me...

so I figured I'd just keep going.

I barked like crazy when I saw Gallatin...

and next thing I know, I'm back on leash.

Whitney tried to scare me with stories of big critters...

but mine were the only antlers around.

Thank you, Bill, for continuing to be the best man long after Mom and Dad's wedding. I hope you forgave me for french-kissing your is a dachshund thing, apparently.

  1. Great walk. We think it's funny that it's only the path that's packed with snow and ice.

    XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy

  2. Tootsie, are you back home in the States? I can hardly keep up with you. Too low for the signage...hahaha! As for french-kissing an ear...eeeew ;)

  3. At least there were no 'no dogs' regulations.
Oh and I can assure you that other breeds too can do the 'french kissing ears' thing.
But I have also learned that you have to choose carefully the target of your affections as, so some reason, this gesture of affection is not universally appreciated.
    Toodle pip!

  4. Hi Tootsie, that looks like a lovely fresh walk....... did you lick the snow when you got thirsty?? Your antlers look funny.

    Tail Wuggles, Rubie

  10. Montana is a great place for a hike. I like your antlers. hehhehhe
You go on the best adventures.

  11. I'm glad to hear you stay within the regulations, don't want you getting into any Mischief with the Ranger around, totally different to getting into trouble with Mum!! :)

Love those first and last pics today buddy - sweet!! :)

    Have fun,

    Your pal Snoopy :)

  12. We love Montana. Looks like you found a great hike too.

  13. Looks like a blast! Love the four paw drive!!! BOLOL!! Looks like you were beating the humans really good on that hike. We have never been to Montana but we might have to take a trip there some day. Glad you had a great weekend. :)

  14. I has heard some good things about Bozeman, like all the happening dog parks and the many outdoor natures too. You gots to watch out for those cold bellies though!

  15. What a great hike. I have been to Montana a few times. I have a friend who lives there.

  16. What an awesome and fun filled time you had...and you really had a way with sharing that fun and joy with us! Mommy and I were thinking about you and praying you were getting better with each passing hour and day. We love you and are thinking about you Tootsie!
Love and puppy kisses (not in the ear, BOL) ~ Pixel
P.S. I tend to do that to my grampy when he least expects it, too! Makes him giggle/yell all at the same time. He's the only one I do that to for some reason! ;)
